Overview on Moving Target Defense Technology

Moving target defense technology is one of the cyberspace game-changing revolutionary technologies proposed by Federal Networking and Information technology Research and Development(NITRD) in recent years.Not alike to the prior efforts in cybersecurity research,moving target defense technology,through diverse and continually-changing evaluation,deployment mechanisms and strategy,raises the complexity and costs for attackers,and effectively restricts the vulnerabilities exposure and the opportunities for attack.Therefore,the in-depth study on this technology is of great improtance for future development of china’s communication network and cybersecurity.This paper gives an overview on the goals and development stragegies,including feasibility,recent progress,prospects and challenges of moving target defense technology.
