Marine diesel engine plays a very important role in navigation economy as dynamical equipment.But the emission-pollution produced by it cannot be ignored,and then the trend of the pollution is more and more serious.Could model is a model of uncertainty transition between a linguistic term of a qualitative concept and its quantitative representation.The concept is the basic representation in qualitative reasoning based on cloud model.Qualitative knowledge is minded from the database for constructing the rule generator,and multiple qualitative rules construct the rule library.When a certain input condition activates multiple qualitative rules,the uncertainty reasoning and control can be implemented through reasoning engine.The cloud control technology has been applied to the fuel feeding angular advance control of marine diesel engine,to control NOx emission.Simulation has proved that the method is correct.
