A Map Matching Algorithm Based on Network Topology

Map matching is a method which can improve the positioning precision in Vehicles Navigation Positioning System.Its precision is influenced by positioning data,GIS data quality and transformation between coordinate systems.After analyzing the existing methods,we design a map matching algorithm based on network topology.While using this method,it's only necessary to combine GPS positioning data with GIS data,then it can solve some common questions in the map matching in the form of algorithm.Results show that the matching algorithm is provided with high precision,high efficiency and great practicability.
