Modeling and Analysis of Cluster System Availability with Stochastic Reward Net
Jiang Le-tian · Acta Simulata Systematica Sinica · 2004
Stochastic Reward Net (SRN), a kind of Stochastic Petri Net, has several structural extensions to describe system states and activities, which improves its modeling efficiency and analysis capability. This paper uses SRN to model and analyze cluster system performance. Both the front-end dispatcher and the backend workers are considered to evaluate performance of the whole cluster system. Calculation formulae of measures of interest and an actual example are also given.
