Zhou Qing-yan · Journal of Tangshan Teachers College · 2008
Correspondence of Quantitative Structures(CQS) denoting capacity is ordinary but special syntactic structure in modern Chinese. In modern Chinese, there are seven match forms in the Sentence Denoting Capacity(SDC) such as Temporal-quantifier(TQ)+V+TQ,TQ+V+ Verbal-quantifier(VQ),TQ+V+ Nominal-quantifier(NQ),NQ+V+NQ etc. NQ+V+NQ is much more complicated than others. If the NQ after the Verb could get the meaning of be dominated, the SDC's quantitative phrase can move to the head of the sentence.
