A Study on Collaborative Cross-Docking for Chain Retailers in China

Cross-docking is important to the reduction of supply-chain cost, the improvement of response and quality of distribution, and the satisfaction of customers. With the description of the status quo of the distribution links in the chain retailing enterprise of China, the paper analyzes the characteristics of collaboration-based cross-docking, discusses the operation mode which can share information and integrate resources on one information platform. Lastly, the implementation steps of this mode are developed.
