An Algorithm for Realizing DDC in Spread-Spectrum Communication System

Using CORDIC algorithm to generate orthogonal local oscillator signal for digital down converter(DDC) in spread-spectrum communication system is introduced.With this algorithm,no much ROM resource is needed when producing cosine and sine values,and only iterative operation of shifting-bit and ADD is required.It can be realized easily on VLSI chip.A VLSI structure for realizing DDC is also given.
