Algorithms of local wave decomposition

Local wave analysis is a new method for analyzing nonstationary signals, the key of which is the algorithm of local wave decomposition. The algorithm has a direct effect on the accuracy of intrinsic mode functions, and in turn affects its applications. The algorithms of local wave decomposition are summarized and their characteristics and performances are discussed. Meanwhile, the specific measures to improve the performances of local wave decomposition are put forward. The possible development of local wave decomposition algorithm is forecasted. The research is helpful to the improvement of local wave decomposition algorithm and the applications of local wave analysis.
