Implementation of High Performance Reed-Solomon Decoder with FPGA in CMMB System

In this paper, the implementation of a time domain and China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting (CMMB) conformed to RS decoder is discussed. This decoder uses a hardware structure to realize and BM algorithm with high performance and also the pipelining technology. The experimental results prove that the decoder has the advantages of easy-control, small area, small resource consumption, high working speed and large data throughput.
