Real-time rendering map and network transmission are the key factors that influence the WebGIS system performance. The map cache tiling technology is the best way to improve the system performance, which can effectively reduce the server pressure and network load, shorten the response delay by pre-rendering data and tiling map. However, because of the huge amount of tile files, the disk storage becomes fragmental, and it leads to lower I/O performance, worse migration ability. No matter data backup or transmission, restoration, any of these operations will take up much time.In this article,a new tile storage scheme is designed and realized based on database. In the scheme,Memcached is integrated as the cache support layer. The results of the experiment show that the scheme can overcome lots of disadvantages of the conventional methods and obtain excellent system performance.
