Modeling and Implementation for Flexible Information System Based on Meta-data

New concepts such as data flexibility,data flexibility analysis method,and some other related ones are presented.To well solve the key problem of how to adapt the variation conversion for the user’s data structure,a Data Flexibility Hierarchical Model(DFHM) and a Flexible Data Access Model(FDAM) are proposed and established by introducing meta-data.During the analysis of data flexibility and model building,a new software design method is proposed,for which meta-data is the kernel.The presented data flexibility theory and related method are successfully applied into a series of flexible software development for the information system and adopted by the software engineering practice,which gain excellent social and economic benefits.
