Study of Median Filtering Image Denoising Based on SVM

In this paper,an image denoising method for salt and pepper noise was presented.It firstly divided pixels of a noisy image into noisy and non-noisy pixels by SVM classifier.Then the non-noise pixels were retained and the noisy pixels were processed by the median filter,in order to achieve the purpose of denoising.In the paper,the experimental platform was structured in the MATLAB6.5 environment,and three classifications models of 4,8 and 24 neighborhoods were established using OSU_SVM3.0 toolbox.The experimental results showed that this method could get a higher PSNR and showed better denoising effects compared with the existing algorithms.
