In order to further enhance the connectivity and security of wireless sensor networks(WSNs),a key management scheme using hexagon deployment and communication key for wireless sensor networks is proposed. In the key predistribution phase, hexagonal grid deployment improve the connectivity rate of network. In key establishment phase, the node key is replaced by communication key using the identification information and remove the original key.Theoretic studies and figures of simulation show that the proposed scheme provides better performance in connectivity and security than classical random key pre-distribution scheme.
