Triangle Traffic Sign Detection Approach Based on Shape Information

A new method based on edge information is proposed.It studies the use of fast symmetry and Hough transform in detection of the triangle traffic sign.The inner circle point of the triangle is detected by fast radial symmetry,and a specified window is used to compute the Hough transform of the small regions of the image.A triangle is detected in Hough filed.Experimental result shows that the algorithm makes up for the shortcomings of existing algorithms and has higher detection efficiency.
