Taking a civil airport as an example, the factors affecting the fly safety in this airport were analyzed according to the system engineering theory of man-machine-environment-management.Then,a triangular fuzzy complementary judgment matrix was constructed with the experts' judgment information expressed by triangular fuzzy numbers.Through calculation by use of fuzzy AHP(Analytical Hierarchy Process),the general importance of each factor was obtained and ranked, which provided basis for the risk management of civil airports.Fuzzy AHP can describe the fuzziness of experts' judgment objectively and is simple in calculation. So,this approach not only objectively assesses the safety status of civil airports, but also is helpful to the improvement of safety management.
