This paper summarized the traditional personal identification methods and the background of modern personal identity authentication based on biometrics,then introduced the details of theory and developing trend on several typical biometrics methods.Analyzed their advantages and disadvantages in actual application,and finally described identification technology based on multi-biometrics information fusion and personal biometric information protection.Confirmed importance of research on personal identity recognition based on biometrics in fields of identity authentication.
