This paper gave an introduction on resource management issues in WMN(wireless mesh networks) and the method of cross-layer design,and presented the critical factors that made cross-layer design be imperative for WMN.Analyzed and summarized typical issues and recent research development of joint optimization of resource allocation and routing.And presented open issues and ideas of potential solutions.
