Vessel pilotage & monitor system design and implementation

This paper discusses the design and implementation of a pilotage and monitor system, which is based on the joint technology of RBN(radio beacon)DGPS and ECDIS. After a general systematic analysis of the PMS, this paper discusses the following issues:(1) outline design of PMS including its hardware,software and system architecture,(2) concept and development of differential GPS technology based on radio beacon, (3) processing model of ECDIS, the data organization,and the function of ECDIS,(4) communication methods of the system.In general,the system has several advantage as following: convenient opetation, capability more stable,and easiness for the facility to be toted.
