Application of NI to the Diagnosis of Transformer Impulse Test

A standard transformer impulse test system based on virtual instrument technique is proposed for detecting the insulation limitation of transformer in the usage or being about to enter electricity network effectively,and cut down such serious fault or accident.It is the key to avoid the disaster result from the insulation problem of transformer insulation test.The impulse test system has the capability of many appropriative instruments,such as high voltage oscillograph,high speed recorder and impulse peak-value instrument,etc.The results of transformer impulse experiment, show its validity and practicability to find insulation limitation between layer,circle,and main insulation of transformer,and avoid serious harm because of transformer insulation limitation.
