Study on Single Fault to Earth Fault Location Based on Hilbert Transformation of Transient Signals

Based on the analysis of the transient characteristics of single phase to earth fault zero-mode network,a new method for single phase to earth fault location based on Hilbert transformation of transient signals is proposed.In this paper,the product of zero-mode voltage and current in selected frequency band with Hilbert transformation are used to locate fault by the different direction of reactive power on the sides.Finally,this methods are verified by simulations.
