Structure and Realization of XML-based PDM System

XML is a selfdescribing and platformfree language.It has become a powerful tool when sharing information on Internet.Computing environment is now developing towards XMLbased data store and format transformation.This paper firstly reviewed the history of PDM system structure,and then proposed to build 4tier distributed PDM system with XML technology.The advantages of this model and the key techniques with it are discussed.
