A SEPM-based approach to mcasuring and improving of a process segment

The paper addresses an efficiency measurement and an improvement strategy for the Formal Software Evolution Process Model(FSEPM). On one hand, the efficiency measurement helps to throw a light on implementation and concurrency of a model. The efficiency of a cut process segment is analyzed and evaluated by customizing measuring standard, methodology and phases. Given the characteristics of the SEPM, improvement strategy is formulated to capture and extend the concurrency of activities on the other. As a consequence, the measurement and improvement, which contribute to estimating the efficiency of the whole SEPM, make the process segment more efficient and adaptable.
