Improved Weighted Centroid Positioning Algorithm Based on RSSI Ranging

Aiming at the error existing in triangular weighted centroid positioning algorithm based on RSSI( Received Signal Strength Indication) ranging,an improved weighted algorithm is put forward in this paper. The sum of reciprocal of distance between nodes instead of the reciprocal of sum of distance has been taken as the weighted value. To make full use of the node information,the algorithm has been corrected according to the weighted factors. The simulation results verify the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and show that the improved weighted centroid positioning algorithm can provide an additional maximum precision gain of 50%.
