Evaluation of Sysmex XE-5000 Fully Automated Hematological Analyzer for Blood Samples

Objective To evaluate the function of Sysmex XE-5000 fully automated hematological analyzer in testing blood samples. Methods According to the criterion of CLIA' 88 and instrument manufacturers, blank test, precision, carryover, comparison and linearity were analyzed to evaluate the performance of Sysmex XE-5000. Results Blank test was appropriate according to the requirements of the instrument manufacturer; precision was less than 1/4CLIA' 88; carryover was lower than the requirements of manufacturers(1%); comparison experiment was in the range of 1/2CLIA ' 88; linearity was well(a values were between 1-0.05 and 1+0.05, and the correlation coefficient r≥0.975). Conclusion The performance of Sysmex XE-5000 fully automated hematological analyzer is proved for testing blood samples, so it can be widely used for clinical detection.
