Striping Noise Removing in X-ray Flat Panel Detector Based on Combined Wavelet and FFT

Striping noise is one of the common noises in X-ray Flat Panel Detector image.This kind of noise influences recognise the film defect and evaluate the film.Based on the imaging character of X-ray Flat Panel Detector,the reason and characteristic of the stripping noise was being discussed in this paper.The result has been achieved by introducing a striping noise filter which is based on wavelet-FFT.Since wavelet can district the horizontal and vertical weight,it can separate and eliminated the striping structure noise effectively,thus removing the striping noise but remaining image details at the same time.Experiment result proves that this method has overall better performance than traditional spatial domain filter and frequency domain filter,so it is a better choice for noise removing in X-ray flat panel detector image.
