Design of Surge Protective Device for RS485 Data Interface

Based on serial communication in RS485 interface withstand voltage level low,vulnerable to lightning electromagnetic pulse interference,this paper proposed a RS485 interface specific surge protection scheme.Firstly,combined with RS485 interface device electrical performance and related signal surge design specifications,We design a reasonable surge protection circuit form.Then,We followed by theoretical calculation and comprehensive analysis to determine the parameters of the components to achieve the anticipated effect.
