Interpretation theory and interpretation-driven computation of text:A summative review of В.З. Демьянков's linguistic theories

This paper presents a summative review ofВ.З.Демьянков's linguistic theories and achievements.It covers three areas:(1) the theoretical foundation of his kernel doctrine of interpretation; (2) his theory of interpretation,including its origin,nature and mechanism; (3) his application of interpretation theory in text computation.Demonstrated also are his interpretation-driven methods for language automatic processing and mechanism with the auto- query system of economic index information.
