Study on Ontology-Based Domain Knowledge Sharing

To support the knowledge sharing of different application systems, we need to unify the representation method of domain knowledge as well as to explore a new collaboration mechanism. This paper proposes an approach of knowledge sharing based on ontology. Using PSL ontology as an example, domain knowledge is represented with hierarchical structure. Two system architectures are designed for sharing knowledge among application systems using domain ontology.Finally, an example about how to apply the idea to the workflow modeling is given.
