Study on the Microtubule-induced Kinesin Interaction Potential

Based on their structural properties,the article summarized the interaction potentials of kinesin and microtubule.The mechanical ratchet model that switched stochastically between different asymmetric,periodical potentials induced the motors' directional motion.After the discussion of electric dipoles interaction which was relatively realistic,we introduced the electrostatic model,in which the time varying charge distribution furnished by the ATP hydrolysis circle,and the static charge configuration on the microtubule enabled the processivity and directionality.
