Implementation of Port Scan Techniques and its Application in Network Security

This paper first introduces the concept of network scanner and the basic mechanism of operations, sums up and analyses several kinds of key technologies in detail,which were utilized by network security scanner tools,such as whole TCP scans,SYN scans, ICMP scans,TCP FIN scans, etc.Then several common port scanner tools and one special network security scanner tool ″Safety″,which were developed by us,be introduced.In the end,several suggestions and countermeasures of network port scan are described.
