An Overview of the Application of BP Neural Network in the Financial Distress Prediction

The financial crisis comes all over the world.As a result, companies probably get into the financial distress in the capital market.These companies will be able to prevent loss in advance if they can predict the financial distress by using some prediction models.With the information technology development, the Artificial Neural Network prediction model has become more popular.This paper will introduce the application of BP Neural Network in the financial distress prediction.Furthermore, an overview of the comparison between BPNN and the statistical method will be given.
