Considering the image compressibility and the error allowance of decompressing image,an image watermarking technique based on fractal compression in the integer wavelet transform domain is presented. In the watermarking embedding process a kind of fractal compression technique is used to encode the gray watermarking image and the fractal codes are embedded into the integer wavelet coefficients of the gray host image. When the watermark extracted, according to the computing algorithm, the fractal codes may be entirely gotten back in the integer wavelet domain of the watermarked image without the original images and decoded into the watermar-king image,so that a high-capacity lossless image watermarking technique comes true.Through the validation of the experiments, this watermarking technique has good performance of data compression and invisibility.
