An improved detection algorithm of layered space-time codes

Based on the principle of minimum mean square error, an improved weighting coefficient of the receive antennas for layered space-time code is presented in this paper. Balancing the effect of the channel matrix and that of the add-noise on the system, this new algorithm improves the system performance. As the simulation result shows, compared with zero forcing, the MMSE algorithm presented in this paper can improve the turbo coded LST by 9～12dB.
