Digital potentiometers and its application.

Zhao Kui · Electronic Components and Materials · 2000

As compared with mechanical potentiometers, digital potentiometers possess higher shock resistance and vibration resistance, lower noise, higher stability and longer life. In addition, it is easier to adjust and to connect to computers. Its resistance controlled by programs. AD8403 and X9511 are two typical digital potentiometers. Their basic structure, operation principium and applications are presented. (1 refs.)
