In multi-hop wireless networks, traditional TCP has poor channel utilizations due to its packets losses caused by error and bandwidth change caused by hosts' shift. After analyzing and comparing the related researches available,a new method was proposed based on the forecasting congestion control mechanism of the receiver to improve the channel utilizations.By using this method, the current bandwidth and RTT were evaluated by the receiver, and then the available bandwidth was derived and fed back to the sender. The sender controlled the transmission speed according to this available bandwidth. The result of simulation confirmed the validity of this algorithm, and indicated that the new algorithm improved TCP performance over multi-hop wireless networks.
