The estimated by the new FAST TCP flows and the estimated by the existing FAST TCP flows are different,so the new FAST TCP flows and the existing FAST TCP flows suffer unfairly. To improve the fairness for these FAST TCP flows,an improved FAST TCP algorithm to estimate the was proposed.Without direct communication of the FAST TCP flows, the existing FAST TCP flows show the characteristics that the Round Trip Time increases gradually and the congestion window decreases gradually when the new FAST TCP flows arrive.By making full use of these characteristics, the existing FAST TCP flows change the method to estimate the at the same time.So the new FAST TCP flows and the existing FAST TCP flows obtain the same propagation delay and share fairly the bottleneck link bandwidth. Finally, the NS-2 simulation results validate the effectiveness of this improved algorithm.
