Spatial Information Grid (SIG) is a old-line expressional form of spatial information And now researchers discuss it widely and deeply, because they look SIG as a new pattern expressed spatial information under the background of quiet great progress of information technology. This paper introduces the main field that SIG be used in , include the divisiory methods and the scientific data spatialization etc. We propose to establish the theoretic system of SIG in this paper.
