Application of VSP data in the layout design of seismic survey.

In the technical design of seismic exploration,we usually need information concerning reflection characters and velocity of the target strata.Among all the ways to acquire such information,VSP is one of the most important sources.In the seismic exploration in the northern part of Jiangsu,we extracted information such as reflection characters,velocity,absorption and attenuation of the target strata from VSP data,and applied it to the layout design.The acquired data confirmed the feasibility of the proposed method.
