Analysis of cooperative relay on outage performance and BER

Based on a three-node single cellular(source node,relay node and destination node) cooperative transmission model,the effect of the relay nodes on the transmission outage probability and error probability was analyzed using amplify-and-forward(AF)model or decode-and-forward(DF) model,and the performance was also evaluated using Monte Carlo simulation.It was showed that the outage probability of AF model was lower than that of DF model.Whereas the BER of the DF model was lower than BER of the AF model.
