Burst Signal Detection Based on High Order Cumulants

Burst Signal detection is important for noncooperation communications and is a precondition to the processing followed. Aiming at the detection method using high-order cumulants as detection-decision statistics,this paper analyses the problem of high order cumulant method in the real signal detection and provides an improved algorithm.We add a slip window to smooth the high order cumulants and adjust the window length adaptively according to the change of the cumulants.It can reduce the jitter of high order cumulants.The simulation results prove this algorithm can improve the signal detection performance.
