Cross-layer design-based power control algorithms for Ad hoc networks

In order to meet the development of various applications and increase performances in Ad hoc networks,cross-layer design is becoming an important research problem in Ad hoc network.This paper studied a number of cross-layer design based power control algorithms for Ad hoc networks.Introduced the definition of cross-layer design,and proposed two typical methods for cross-layer design.Classified and described some cross-layer proposals aiming at power control,and evaluated and studied their performances.Finally,proposed the problems of the cross-layer design based power control algorithms and future research work.
