RESEARCH OF MANAGEMENT MODEL BASED ON MOBILE AGENT FOR BROADBAND POWER LINE COMMUNICATION

With the enlargement and extension of broadband power line communication network, the management of broadband power line communication has become the new problem. In this paper, the management scope of broadband power line communication, the element types in power line communication network and its characteristics have been analyzed. Moreover, several management modes have been contrasted. According to the mobile agent and web technology and their application in network management, the management framework based on web and mobile agent has been proposed, which has three kinds of agents, i.e. stationary agent, messenger agent and the agent whose duty is to activate the stationary agents and messenger agents. And then the traditional snmp-based network management mode is contrasted with the mobile-agent-based network management mode from the two aspects of response time and traffic. The management model proposed in this paper has improved the performance of broadband power line communication and enhanced the flexibility of network management functions. This framework provides technical support and reliance for network management system of broadband power line communication.
