TO INVESTIGATE INFORMATION-BASED MANAGEMENT OF IMMUNIZATION AT PRIMARY VACCINATION UNITS AT RURAL AREA OF LISHUI CITY

[Objective] To understand information-based management of children vaccination unit in rural area of Lishui City. [Methods] The questionnaires were used to collect information of vaccination units, including basic information, facilities, staff competency and so on. [Results] Liandu District and Qingtian County have already realized information-based management of children vaccination, while other districts’ vaccination units plan to initiate the information-based management in 2007-2008 in succession. More than 71.3% workers who were engaged in the information-based management have more than 3 years working experience, but their skill on computer use is poor (only 9% above medium class), most of computer software and hardware can meet the basic needs of the work. [Conclusion] The rate of Children vaccination units where the information-based management is undergoing in Countryside is low, and still a lot of room to level up. The construction of vaccination units at rural areas needs to be accelerated, meantime, the relevant infrastructure should also be put in place as soon as possible, so as to to cover all vaccination units at rural areas.
