Research on spatial-temporal data model and spatial-temporal index in moving objects database

A new spatial-temporal data model based on space-time cube is presented,where trajectories of moving objects are split into segments,each segment has a bounding cuboid.The trajectory segment is a basic unit for storage,and the bounding cuboid is built on the segment for indexing.The experiment shows that redundancy of data is reduced and performance of spatial-temporal query is improved.
