This paper proposed a method for designing arbitrary-length linear-phase cosine-modulated filter banks.The design of the prototype filter for arbitrary-length linear-phase cosine-modulated filter banks was formulated as a quadratic constrained least squares optimization problem.The optimization problem was solved by an iterative Lagrange multiplier approach.An example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
