Application of IPv6-based Transition Technology in Campus Network

The entire transition from IPv4 to IPv6 would spend much time,and the coexistence of the two networks last a long period.Campus network is also confronted with the same problem.In this situation,the research on transition from IPv4 to IPv6 is of necessity.This paper mainly discusses the transition technology form IPv4 to IPv6,and analyzes in detail the three common transitional mechanisms,including Dual stack,Tunnel and NAT-PT.In combination with the present situation of campus network,this paper describes the application status of IPv6 technology in campus network transform of different periods,and also proposes the transition strategies and solutions.
