Study on GIS of Variable Rate Fertilization for Precision Agriculture

To improve the application of science and technology agriculture of China, the GIS of Variable Rate Fertilization for Precision Agriculture was designed. With GPS technology, this system could be used to control the Variable Rate Fertilizing and Sowing. The software was programmed with Visual Basic 6.0, Map Object of GIS and MSComm Control of Microsoft. It could control the Variable Rate Fertilization machine by computer on the tractor. The large-scale area test of soybean showed that the yield of unit area was improved significantly.
