Combined with the development experience of the second-period system of the management information system (MIS)in Guangdong Power Test Research Institute,the paper discusses the development and design of the new generation MIS in terms of the design target,technical foundation and design way,etc.It emphatically expounds the approach to construct an open MIS structure and to develop subsystems and reconstruct the old systems as per open and universal interface standard,so as to realize management informatization in the enterprise.
