A Algorithm of Line-segments Recognition Using Freeman Encoding with Predictive Endpoint

Line detecting is an essential and basal step in first stage of gathering information for regular object's shape analyzing and indentifying in digital image.In this paper,a new algorithm is illuminated to detect line.In this way the corner can be used to endpoint of a line,then the main directiong and subordinate direction are calculated,finally Freenman coding can be used to detect a line.This algorithm knows the whole information of the line well and also can explore the line ahead when use this algorithm to detect a line.Those good qualities make this algorithm has good ability in restraining noise and can detect line very soon and exactly.The result of the experiment according to this algorithm validate the validity of this algorithm.At the same time the result of the experiment also prove that the method can manage thick line well.
