This paper studies the video coding using three-dimensional set partitioning in hierarchical trees (3D-SPIHT)in wavelet domainProposes an improved coding method,the improved three-dimensional set partitioning in hierarchical trees(I3D-SPIHT),which overcomes the limits of 3D-SPIHTTheory analyses and simulation results show that I3D-SPIHT with reduced coding latency still approximately achieves coding results of 3D-SPIHT,and have better coding results with the same latency
